Yes I have written and it is the right DOB with the Beale's/Dickens

Flip Report 9 Aug 2014 09:52

Hi Ashlee, have you written to the address we gave you?

Also, do you have your grans birth certificate just to double check that the birth found with Beale/Dickens parents is in fact the right one? The dob on the certificate should confirm the dob known to you.

Flip,
That information and anymore you have or get would be much appreciated.
I am so thankful for all the help.
I hope I can help you in some way.
Again thank you so much.
Ashlee

Hope it's the right person, looks like the earlier address was sold in 2009 and later address bought in 2009. Let us know how you get on please.

I've quite a few notes on the others from the ERs, and a couple of likely marriages - if you want this let me know, but I'll have to send by PM as they are possibly still alive. Unfortunately none of them have unusual surnames so not easy to track though.

Thank you so much flip. I am searching all this now and more.
You will be speaking with me, I am martins daughter Ashlee from now on just so you know :-D

Have sent a possible address for Ronald's daughter by PM - must be worth a letter to see if right person.

You may need to get a copy of the marriage certificate for Elsie/Joseph - to get their ages and father's names. That way we may be able to find their births, and look for their deaths.

Of the children, Ronald J born in 1925 married Joan E in 1949, sadly his death in Stevenage in 1994 shows him to be Ronald Joseph born 15/12/1925. They had one daughter in Islington in 1952 named same as your gran but with a middle initial.

Martin Report 4 Aug 2014 08:42

Thank flip I will try that

Flip Report 4 Aug 2014 08:14

Of the children you can find on freebmd Irene showed up with her mother 1945/6, Ronald in 1949 (with wife Joan) George on a number of ERs, Barbara in 1951/2, Mary 1952 for a number of years. So it looks like most of the children are theirs, the only one I didn't spot was Shirley.

It would be better to remove your grans exact dob, just change to JFM 1937.

Ashlee - go onto the freebmd website, and use surname Beale mothers name Dickens and search for births 1924-1937 and you will see the relevant births.

Flip Report 4 Aug 2014 08:06

Like Jude has said, there are a number of children between 1924 and your gran in 1937. Joseph George Beale & Elsie Beale appear on the ERs - were living 100 Euston Road in 1934/6 the 53 Holloway Rd 1937/9.

1939 is the last they were together. She reappears after the war with various of the children (who have now reached 21) and the last I see them is 1965 where she is living at 296 Lordship Lane, Tottenham. She had been living there since at least 1951, but by 1952 was under the name Hanks.

Elsie Beale or Dickens (according to the marriage) married Horace Alfred Hanks in 1952, registered at Edmondton. I haven't found a death for her first husband, so maybe they divorced. I think Horace died in 1966.

Jude,

This is the exact match I have found. But I can not find if her biological parents had any children or not, and if so, are those children are alive.

There are several Beale/Dickens births in and around London between 1920 and 1960 with one other in Pancras where Patricia's birth was registered

And this is the marriage

Yes she is still alive.
She has no middle name.
Her DOB is 10.01.1937

She tells me her biological parents names are
Joseph Beale and Elsie Dickens

Flip Report 3 Aug 2014 07:23

Hi Ashlee,

The 1911 census is the latest one available - they are not released for 100 years, so census records will be of no help to you.

To find Patricia's parent(s) we need to identify the correct birth record and there are a few possibilities, so need to know the month/year she was born, and which area if possible. Surely you or your father know her birthday?

Martin

Martin Report 3 Aug 2014 07:03

Hi,
My name is Ashlee. I am martins daughter.
I do not have my grabdmothers birth certificate with me however I will have it soon.
Her birth name is Beale
Adoptive name is knight
The adoptive parents information is correct, thank you for the information.
I have tried the links add but they tell me the information I have given can not be searched.
The census on this site only goes to 1911.
Is the a census site that's completely free and I would get help from.
Thank you everyone :-D

Martin, no one can help you without being able to identify the correct birth to check for her biological parent(s). We'd just be going round in circles. Like Mavis said, the quarter and year would probably do - although the month would be better as some births late in a quarter are registered the following quarter.

Mavis

Mavis Report 29 Jul 2014 11:51

don't think Martin wants us to know Mums birth date -- the quarter will do Martin
