Sorry for being pedantic, but on the outgoing voyage it doesn't say he was BORN in Australia, it says Australia in response to "Country of which a citizen as shown on passport". |

The outgoing passenger list confirms his dob 20/7/1909, which matches the baptism in Karachi - so I would be pretty sure the 1955 record is correct. |

I don't think Gerald is his son - to be eligible to vote in 1946 he must have been born 1925 or earlier....Douglas would have only been 14. |
