Found that Henry Pearson was in same place as Rebecca Belshaw on 1891 census piece 2700 folio 119 pg 31 so wonder if that's where they met and also if children born aft 1891 was in fact his but we will never know. :-(

I checked that out earlier.........thinking that Rose was Frank's wife.

It states that Frank is "Single" on the 1911 census........I couldn't find a marriage either.

Hi
You are all to quick for me crossed post, well I did have a phone call while I was typing and you all answered my question first.

Like I say I have the 1891 census for the workhouse with Rebecca with Ellen but not the other children
Had a look for christenings and the only one I could find was a Anne Belshaw daughter of Rebecca 31 Dec 1896 abode was 24 Commerce Street which is the Street Rebecca lived on from 1861-1881 census.

But thos ages don't match up at all. They're basically the same age in 1881 and 1901. I think she named her children after her siblings?

Nottsgirl

Nottsgirl Report 30 Dec 2014 11:00

Hi Andy,

Not sure if right Rebecca now the one I'm look for was born abt 1859 maiden name Belshaw and the only one that fits is this one they married March Otr 1900, maybe now best to look for the Belshaw children named on 1911 census on 1891 & 1901 census.

I found 2 records for 1891 census for Rebecca Belshaw one says she was in Nottingham Prison RG12, Piece 2700 folio 94 pg 1, found on freecen and one says Nottingham Workhouse RG12, Piece 2700, folio 105, Pg 3 both with daughter Ellen aged 8 months so must be same person on both.
