My family of Exalls all died in Tenterden Kent but I cannot find burial places.
I have Joseph Exall 1780 died/ buried 25 March 1842
His wife Mary Exall 1778 died/buried July 1856
Daughter Mary Exall 1807 died 1865
daughter Ann died 1/11/1815
daughter Eliza buried 10/11/ 1818
Married daughter Rachael Greenhill b.1811 died/buried 17/Feb 1845 (may be buried Rolvenden Kent)
I have searched graveyards in both these places with no luck in finding any of them. Possibility of them being non-conformist.
Please can anyone help. Thanks

Have you looked though at parish records for burials . It's possible they may have been buried in unmarked graves so you won't find grave stones

The films can be ordered at your nearest LDS family history centre, although, if they have additional info I'd be surprised

Lewis (1848) says:
TENTERDEN (St. Mildred), a market-town and parish, within the cinque-port liberties, having separate jurisdiction, and forming the head of a union, locally in the hundred of Tenterden, Lower division of ihe lathe of Scray, W. division of Kent, 18 miles (S. E. by S.) from Maidstone...

A search at https://familysearch.org/catalog-search for Tenterden yields:
Kentish monumental inscriptions : inscriptions at Tenterden
Authors:Duncan, Leland Lewis, 1862-1923 (Main Author) etc
[The London Library has a copy - you can also rent a film to view at some nearby FHC]

Very occasionally, I have seen a plot # written in the margin of the burial register - however, I've not seen a plot map, so I suppose one would have to note several other plot numbers to try and build your own map - I've never had occasion to do this.

The original records for St Mildred's & for St Michael's are held at the Centre for Kentish Studies in Maidstone, England.
The Bishop's Transcripts are the church's own back up copy - these are held at the Canterbury Cathedral Archives.

The FS batch # specifies a particular church and a block of dates. They were useful when FS had a severely limited search function, but much less so now.

The film # identifies what film was being transcribed - you can do an FS catalog search for this # and see what it covered, where the filming took place, and related film #s.
You can rent the film to view at some nearby FHC and see images of the original.

Some Kent images are online, see:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1®ion=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND

My guess is that this collection isn't fully transcribed and indexed on FS, so it's still worth "browsing the images" for some places.

Thank you all but where were they buried? I have checked all the graveyard lists for the area and looked in old burial grounds. I cannot find more than one Baptist graveyard and no lists.

Joseph Exall was the Clerk to the Union Workhouse in Tenterden and actually died there after a bad fall and a broken leg. He was instrumental in the case for Tithe change in the area. He had a battle with the Rev Ward minister for St Mildreds (wife was Nelsons Daughter Horatia) The Church won the long, expensive legal battle and Joseph Exall was not popular with the local farmers. His son took over the Clerk job but was accused of fraud andforgery and went to Van Diemens Land. Died in NZ as newspaper editor.!
