I am so sorry, I have made a mistake in the surname. How really stupid of me. |

Why I am focussing on this bit of the tree is that I would love to see a photo of my grandparents, Louisa (nee Coleman) and Joseph Holmes. I have never seen one ever and this would bring tears to my eyes to know what they looked like. I am hoping that in finding ancestors along a different branch of the family, they might have a photo but it is a long shot. I live in hope and thanks in advance for anyone who might find Emily or Mary Ann. I have made about 5 visits to the archives centre at Kew, where they have wonderful research facilities but to no avail. One day maybe, the mysteries will be solved.............. |

Now I am not saying this is her but she was born 1865 and is a spinster aged 49. He is 26! Her father is John Coleman a farm steward??????????? |

I have come across this Emily before and I am almost certain she is not my one. I remember the unusual name of the groom. Mine was Baptised only Emily (but she could have taken on an extra middle name I suppose) - I have been to Aylesbury and have the church records for St. Nicholas, Great Kimble. Rather a difference in age but anything is possible in "love" or maybe if you are very poor? Wonder if others think this is her. I haven't written why it is not her in my notes which is not good. I think I also looked for her in Battersea on 1901 and 1911 census but couldn't find her there - not that proves she was in the area or not |
