My grandmother was born on 10th May 1914, but I have no idea where or who her parents were. Her father was not named on her marriage certificate and she never spoke of her family. I've been searching on and off for 25 yrs. If anyone has come across her or can offer any resource to try (before the next census) I'd be very grateful. :-) |

What was her age on the marriage cert? does it match the year you have for her birth? |

Did your grandmother call anything by an unusual name which could be regional? For example, my father always referred to sweets as losins; I was gone 40 before I discovered that his father was Welsh speaking and losin is Welsh for sweets |

Marriage for the Maldon Dorothy, or one of them if there are two. Might be worth getting the cert if only to match it with father? |

Does seem that there were two Maldon births a year apart. this is the other one, i wonder if the families were connected? |

Trying a different tack, this lady married a couple of years earlier in Plymouth. Wonder if she could be a sibling? |
