ArgyllGran Report 23 May 2015 23:09

Holland added this to the other thread today - copied here to keep everything together:

"I have had another word with my Mum who has found my Grandfathers Baptisim cert.Kyran Holland was Baptised on 26th June 1904 in Saint Peter and Pauls Church,Clonmel. He was Baptised by Rev P.Doocey???..The sponsers were called Peter Hayes and Ellen Slattery.Another possible lead is that my Mum thinks my Grandfathers Brother Patrick Joseph Holland lived and farmed in the GALTEE Mountains and possibly married someone called Elizabeth, surname unknown. Also one of Kyran and Patricks Sister may have lived in O Connor/O Connal street in Dublin.I never realised how many names were repeated through the Family!!! "

Holland -
Peter Hayes and Ellen Mullane were witnesses at Philip's marriage (see earlier post on here). Same people??

ArgyllGran....Going to have to be careful with this one as you say there are a few Keiran/Kyran Holland's but only 1 who married a Briget Kealy/Keely.. I have only found 1 Phillip b.1863 that was to Kyran and Brid so this Birth date is too early for Phillip Holland...(unless his age on enlistment was way out).

Edit...Forgot to add this..

.Baptism 1863 Galmoy

Name.....Father.........Mother...........Townland

Kyran. Holland Kyran. Bridget Kealy Moonynamuck (should read Moneynamuck)

A tree on FS says Philip's mother was Bridget Kealy, born 1841 Galmoy, Kilkenny.
Married Kyran on 16/02/1858 in Galmoy.

Given Bridget's Death details were Reg Urlingford I guess she may also have been a Resident there.
