The mother died under the surname of Simmons.

That's actually a really good idea, on her birthday... It has since been suggested that they holidayed in Barbados and Bermuda.. Does anyone have any idea where I would be able to search their records xx

Perhaps if you later discover if and when his parents married........they could set their wedding day on that same day.

Not sure if this would help but if you live in the area could you look up old electoral rolls perhaps in the library to see when the 1st time they were together

That's what my son is trying to do.. I know his partner would be so happy with that because he was born in his parents 40's and he thinks he was an IVF baby... It would be great to mark his mum and dad in some way as none of them can be here to see his big day .. Thanks for everyone's help x
