	All this speculation could be focused on the right guy if Elizabeth would only return and say who his parents are on his marr cert - something that should have been in the original post.

There is no next of kin listed but using 1 credit on Scotland's People gives his wife's name as Catherine Carmichael.

	English birth certs can be purchased on line from the GRO for £9.25 including worldwide postage How OLD was he when he married? Was he a bachelor? Who did he name as his parents? Scottish certs name both parents of both parties. Reply ON HERE, please.
