message from Elizabeth

All I can tell you is, Albert Edward Jordan was a Petty Officer Telegraphist on HMS Marlborough at the time of his marriage to my grandmother. They were married in Oban Argyllshire on 22/12/1915.
What I am really hoping for is to get a birth certificate of grandfather. As I am in Scotland I can't as far as I know get an English birth certificate here.

Dates and names would be really useful

As you have the marriage cert, you must know a lot more than you have shared with us so far

I've asked Elizabeth to come back with more info

You could start by telling us his name and all the other details you have on him.

Who he married etc and how you have worked your way back to him please.

Please include all the details from that cert, including fathers, occupations, addresses and witnesses.

We can then see if we can help you with this.

Thanks,

Dea x

my paternal grandfather was English. The only address I have is on his marriage line and that was the name of the ship he was serving on! The ship was HMS Marlborough. Where do I go from there?
