I have now ordered copies of the birth cert for Henry Leach 1883 and Marriage of Henry Leech and Mary Shepheard 1877.

Marriage Register Office, maybe Florence told a little porky too. Who was down as her Father and his occupation, should have asked before. Perhaps you have her details, but if not we could perhaps find her in census too to confirm.

Piece of paper in with his documents, but no name on it, gives an address of 7 Tomlinson's Yard, Castle Gate, Newark, Notts (fits 1901 census address)

That's the 'proof' PH that we have the correct family! Mother was living at 39 Island Street- same as on Harry's marriage :-D

Mother Mary appears as Mary Jane Leach (Widow) on the 1911 census.

With daughter Mary Jane and a Richard Barrett. It states "Wife" but Richard Barrett is single.
