Lizzie should be on the 1901 census, guessing some of the above post is missing?

I just found her on 1911 census aged 10, haven't checked 1901 yet, got a funny feeling, they hid her as they weren't married!

I doubt that Shirley would post incomplete info

BTW........note that John says he's MARRIED in 1901

I copied and pasted the 1901 census so it's as per the census page and it's the transcription

I only wanted to get an idea of where she was...........and when.

If he thought his mother was his sister, he must have known the family............

They moved to Birmingham, they weren't told that Lizzie had died until after the funeral, the illegitimate son was fuming about this (they obviously wanted to keep him a secret) and he never wanted his daughter to know the truth, but she found her parents marriage certificate with Lizzie on it!

So she was still in Neath in 1920's

Do really appreciate both your help. The illegitimate son of Lizzie knew her as his sister and not his mother and was in Birmingham when she died in the 1950's, we only have the date from the bible that she married someone? on August 8th 1927? So after she has the illegitimate child in the workhouse, we lose track of her?

They found the sons marriage cert with Lizzie on it !!

So what surname was she using

As far as I know she was never in Birmingham. We think that she married and had other children but have no proof. It looks like her illegitimate son was deliberately kept away from her funeral in the 1950's.

This is all I know, David Thomas Morgan married Marian Davies on December 27th 1947 at Ty'nycoed Chapel, Abercrave, Swansea? Have not seen the certificate, thats just the info. received from their daughter.
