I would be grateful if you could help me to find who William J Ott b.1920 Bermondsey London parents were have looked everywhere but to no avail. He married Rose E Howard b.1924 Bermondsey London on the Jun 1943 St Olave Bermondsey. I believe his mother's maiden name may have been Puller but I cannot find a marriage for them.

There is a John Ott, no middle initial, living with an Emily Elizabeth Ott at 102 Bevington Street, Bermondsey in the London ERs for 1935. The other occupants entitled to vote are listed as Emily May Fensome, and William George Fensome.

RE the marriage Chris found above, for Emily M Fuller to William G Fensome; I would have assumed she was then probably Emily Elizabeth's sister, if it is the right John Ott on the ER, but two sisters, called Emily Elizabeth and Emily May?

Maybe she was a cousin or something, even an elderly mother.

I know it's not impossible to have living siblings with the same forename, I found sibling pairs Mary Ann, Mary Jane, Sarah Ann, Sarah Jane, who all survived to adulthood and were concurrent.

This LOOKED like the John Ott from the 1891 that Chris posted, living with married sister Florence in BERMONDSEY.:

Just to make it even more interesting, this John Osmand Ott's father, Richard Osmand Ott, was a butcher too (like John Osmand Ott, father of the Reuben Osmand Ott and John etc that Chris posted)

I really do this you need to invest in certs to ensure you don't end up following the wrong line, albeit I suspect the butchering Otts are probably all related somehow, but it would be best to be certain which branch is yours.

Have just realised father of John Osband Ott bap 1880, and Florence born 1880, is Richard Henry Ott, on Florence's marriage, but Richard Osmand Ott on Florence and John Osmand Ott's baptisms. Priscilla Ott was one of the witnesses at the wedding.

Florence and John Osband Ott had been baptised the same day, 16 May 1880.
