Three forms of ID are needed

The post on genealogy specialists is from me as guessed by MarieCeleste. Sister's name was possibly Rachael. I have also posed the question on 3 Facebook genealogy sites.

I have asked my contact for more info on her relationship to Murdoch Munro and will broadcast as and when I get a response. Her attempts to get a Death Certificate from the locals has been met with rejection as she is not next of kin. The Mission deals with homeless people which may mean he has no parents identified and/or fell on hard times before his death.

'Frustrated' more like!

On the other site, the poster says that nothing is known about ancestors............so how can the woman in Australia say she is connected to him?

Unless she thinks he was her father..............

Just to be clear -
I only posted the marriage of Martin and Carmel in order to prove that Murdoch was NOT the M Munro who migrated in 1949 with wife C F Munro.

And the extra info posted by Gins further proves that.

The poster about Murdoch on genealogy-specialists is the same as the one asking about Florence Gertrude Furbank on the same site.

There is this one, no other person living at the same address

I'd lay odds that the poster on there is the same as on here

Same query on another forum has some interesting suggestions:

This one mentions that he may have had a sister Rachel who stayed in Scotland, also that Murdoch may have left Scotland around 1949.

If the poster's contact is related, we need details of how she knows about this man

Surely his death cert is the obvious document to obtain............

The detailed info clearly ruled out the QUERIED migration I posted.

So not sure why it has been pursued

I just can't equate Martin Munro who was a head teacher in NSW with someone who was a barman in Melbourne.

Hello Trevor, as rootgatherer said, there are no births in Scotland that match the details you've given. If the lady in Australia is distantly related then she probably has more details on his family -she must know how she is distantly related? through a cousin, his parents, a sibling?- perhaps we can trace more information on him by knowing how she is related.
