Did Not Halt

The following were fined 10s for failing to conform to the Halt sign at the Cubbington cross roads.

Names include......Victor Mullis of 5 New Street, Cubbington.

A very interesting read.

He obviously acquired the middle name of Robert somewhere along the way.

I think this could be the birth of the elder Emri. 1891 census says he was born Cubbington and Warwick district covers that place:

MULLIS - On December 14th 1943. at his daughter’s residence. 4, Leys Terrace; Emri Mullis passed peacefully away, aged 81 years. Funeral service at Cubbington Church. 4-15. on Saturday.


06 August 1920 - Leamington Spa Courier - Leamington, Warwickshire

Emri Robert Mullis, aged 33, of 5, New Street, for several years employed as a labourer by the Coventry Corporation...

(on your next visit to library, as you seem to go quite often, lol, have a look at 1920 article in Newspapers, if you can get access!)

A tree on Ancestry says that Imri Robert Mullis who married Katie Isabella Rule was born 1887, Rowington, Warwickshire, son of Emri Mullis (1863-1943) and Emily Jane Vale (1864-1933)

Emri, in turn was the son of Thomas Mullis (1819-18640) and Ann Drinkwater (1824-)

As you can see from my information........he was actually Emri Mullis.

Kate Rule 1891 is the daughter of Jeremiah Rule 1855 and Harriet E Hopper 1861
I have their children as Ethel 1884 Sophie 1886 kate 1891

I am not sure if the Imri, son of Thomas and Ann, is the same one who married Kate Rule. He is on all the censuses and married Emily Jane Vane in 1885 and according to a tree on Ancestry, Emily didn't die until 1943. Than Imri (Emri) did have a son who could be the one who married Kate:
