the witness on sarah ann taylors marriage are a Benjamin harry hill and lizzie taylor

I need to find the right birth for mary preston to find out who her parents are
and a marriage to William taylor unless they was both married before it seems to be all guess work

I can't remember where I got the info from on mary preston birth
or on William taylor birth the only certs I have is the birth cert for the daughter sarah ann b 1885 and her marriage cert

Was Mary Preston born 1847 for certain or is that a guess.
Do you have documentation for the 1847 birth?

1861 a William Taylor a Puddler with mum Martha, but I can't find him in 1871.

(although something odd!, Daughter Mary Porter 10mths, Married 4, 2 children, 1 living, 1 died)

The Mary Ann with parents John and Phoebe Preston doesn't seem to be the one.

She married 1868 to William Matthews,they had Phoebe Agnes Matthews 1870 Prescot Lancashire.

If Mary filled in the 1911 census then she must have put 5 years on her age!!
