looking at the image on Ancestry,

Ann KERTGS could be Ann Kerbys

Her full address is not shown on her death cert. It just says Thornham.

No there is no street name recorded. For the informant it says Elizabeth Parsons present at death Thornham.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 11 Sep 2015 00:21

most villages didn't have street addresses on the 1841 ....... the most you find is usually a street name, such as High Street. "Village" or Village Green" is more common in my experience!

Gee

Gee Report 11 Sep 2015 01:32

Sun Lane is given as the address on the 1841 census for the lady I posted

I'm aware that the 1841 census was not a detailed 'census'

Deaths, did have street names, shame Ann' didn't have a full address. Thornham came under the registration district of 'Docking'

Hello Gins, I was not sure of the significance of the full address in Thornham as the 1841 census record you posted was in Norwich.

Gee

Gee Report 11 Sep 2015 09:33

There is no way of knowing where she was in 1841, she may have died in Thornham but not have been there is 1841

Some 1841 censuses have the street name, if you post the address details it might help find her

I have been through the entire 1841 transcripts for Thornham and no sign of Ann Knights although I did find Elizabeth Parson!

Another point is that she could have been cohabiting with a man and took his name on the census

Gins, thanks for going through the whole 1841 census for Thornham. I do not have any address details for her at all. She married in Wellingham in 1810 and died in Thornham in 1848.

I guess it is possible as you say that she was cohabiting.

Chris, I do not think this is her as I previously stated her death register entry states widow of Robert Knights.

I posted that 1841 census on page 1

John said it was not his family as Ann was widowed

I think she may well have cohabited and that's why she's not showing on the census
