Shiela, you say that you 'think' Annies parents were Mathew and Helen. To be absolutely sure you really should start by buying a copy of her marriage certificate to Joseph.
This should give you at least her father's name and his occupation which could help find, or confirm information already found.
If it states that her father was Mathew then it would also be helpful to know what his address was and also his occupation to see if we can find him with more certainty on the census records.

If you look again at the baptism records you will see that they were Catholic so the names are actually in Latin.

Sheila -

My post just before your last one points out that there were two John William Beans born in 1869.
One born in Wakefield (son of William and Eliza) and one in York (son of Joseph & Annie).

You are right about but I will "go "for Joseph & Annie as I remember as a child I had an Uncle who was
called Uncle Stanley Pat

If John & Loretta were your grandparents, John's father was William, not Joseph.

This is John William who was son of Joseph and Annie.

Sheila, if you're making a copy, please note that I've corrected my 22:35 post, as I'd mistakenly put in a Wakefield birth instead of the Pontefract one.

(In case you made your copy before I did that.)
