I think they may be Frederick's son from his first marriage and his son from his second marriage. His daughter from second marriage wasn't born until 1941.

Yes that's his first wife. I hadn't realised she died in 1936 though so thank you for that info
My mum Nancy was his second wife they married in 1936 and she had a son to him in 1938

I don't understand why they are closed records if it is the 2 boys!

if they are the children they could still be alive

They are my half brother and sister.....I did find them as they weren't brought up by my mum.
Things are very hazy about those times and my mum passed away in 2006
Frederick went off to New Zealand

Is Frederick John James Ship to be found on the register at all? He was born 1911 in Hackney

I know they divorced in the mid forties and I wonder if he was actually away in the army or had he left and was living elsewhere!
