27 August 1892 - Nottingham Evening Post - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

TO-DAY'S POLICE NEWS.
NEGLECTFUL PARENTS.
William Moore, of 22, Victoria place, and Martha Moore, his wife, were charged with neglecting their three children, Martha, Thomas, and Isaac, in such a manner as to cause them unnecessary suffering.
Neglect caused more through idleness than want of food. Baby 5 months old, very thin wet, dirty, Thomas 4, Isaac 2 very dirty, poorly clad, and marks of vermin on all 3 children. Furniture, bedding, filthy in the extreme, and swarmed with vermin.
Prisoners appeared contrite, and promised amendment in the future

The Bench considered this a most deplorable state of things, but if the prisoners would promise to amend, the case would be adjourned until the 10th of October. The prisoners eagerly gave the required promise, and the case, therefore, stands adjourned.

I might be telling a lie there Lorraine - ages may be a bit out, could be yours

1901 census already posted has an Isaac aged 10 and Victoria Place seems to come up.

So the rest of the story - aahh - Chris Ho has beaten me to it
