Malyon- That 1841 is already established as family we're looking at. FMP version posted by Rootgather gives exactly the same details of where living, but condensed for better viewing.

William Christie married Sarah Susanna Dawson in 1811 Deptford- so not our William,

Think anything could be possible, lol, notes 1851 for Jane Doyle, Merionethshire...

I just wondered as it was 1837 if William had remarried after Jane's death.

AustinQ

AustinQ Report 17 Feb 2017 16:37

I think the Will is on Ancestry- haven't read it all, but it mentions his wife, Sarah Susanna as sole executor. (A William Christie married Sarah Susannah Dawson in 1811)

Yes, I know the 1851 links Jane Doyle as Grandmother- but I don't see a Jane Doyle (daughter)/ William Christie marriage. I'm thinking the William Christie/ Jane Williams marriage fits. I wanted to confirm the Doyle link.

Oops! Sorry Chris. I leave it up so your reply makes sense :-)

Looks like Alexander Christie married Hannah Coomb as where they had Alexander junior baptised was not far from where they got married, making some headway :-)

Thanks AustinQ i will do some research

AustinQ, I think the 1851 census you posted gives Alexander's link to Jane Doyle. He's recorded as her Grandson. So unless she was William's mother remarried she must be Jane's mum.

Thanks AustinQ and Chris Ho :-)

Swan Lane is the place of residence on Jane Christie's burial record and ChrisHo also mentions it on Jane Doyle's burial record.
