I am researching for a friend
I have found their ancestors William Mummery and Emily Cline marriage 1905

also 1911 living at 57 bridge street folkestone

I cannot find Emily Cline birth - on her marriage cert it says she was from Berkley Gloucestershire

William mummery was from Folkestone in kent

any help would be appreciated

what was her age when Emily married

could this be Emily born 1874

Didn't know English marriages gave birth place. Are you sure that wasn't just her place of residence at the time of the marriages?

I think her birth was registered in West Ham and this is her in 1891.

I think that is the correct 1911 census Margaret as William's occupation ties in with the 1939 register. In 1911 William gives his place of birth as Stoke Newington.

I found the 1911 at 57 bridge street - I found the marriage william mummery to Emily cline, I was told they were from Kent

I will ask my friend about more specific dates

I know Emily Cline had a brother who was in the 1st world war as they are going to visit the war grave in may he got a top uk bravery medal, and when in hospital recovering - the hospital was bombed up and he was killed

For great gallantry on the night of 31st October in taking up a position of great danger on the left of our line, which was out of touch with all other troops and conveying information of the enemy's movements.
His action was instrumental in preventing a body of our troops from being surrounded.

You do realize, Jonsey, that the 1911 census at Bridge St. is not the right couple , the ages are way out.
The 1911 census that I posted is the correct one and William was born Stoke Newington, London and Emily at Stratford, London.
