Am looking for Ethel Georgina Lane (Nee Roberts) in 1911 Census.

Ethel G. Roberts married Charles John Lane in Weymouth Dec, 1905.

She dies Dec 1912, but cannot find her in 1911 nor her husband Charles.

(Edit - cannot find her on 1901 either - please help!!)

The schedule posted by Greyghost doesn't appear to have been transcribed on Ancestry.

The paper schedule is there and is a Sanitorium. Best bet might be the Death Cert for Ethel to see the info.

The 1911 Census Greyhound looks the best yet, so thanks for that, even though named Lone instead of Lane.

Can you please just check the correct address for me. I take it to be 'Sanatorium, Greenhill, Weymouth'? Or is it Melcombe Regis?

Andrew, glad to know I am not going mad as I too could not find it on Ancestry either. (Going bonkers trying to find it so may end up in there myself soon!!).

I have found a possible death for Charles John Lane in Bridport, Sept 1953 aged 71 years.

Do you think this is probably the correct one?

Also, where is he in 1939?

Search for 'Mabel Mary Clifford'. There is only one. View the image of page, should be number(at the bottom of page) 778 of 937. Move to 782 to find the entry for Ethel.

Did he re-marry as probate goes to his widow Agnes Mary? - the one you've found died 15/7/1953. He was of Pentor Walditch Bothenhampton.

Obviously the same one as AustinQ has found in 1939
