HELLO i have the names of the 4 children of robert paylor and eva henderson . they are lesley .i know his birth was1913 .havent got dates for frank .peter or kathleen..there parents where robert paylor and eva a henderson .they married 1912 ...eva died in 1921 .there father couldnt cope and the children where put in the workhouse .2 of the boys lesley and frank .i was told where sent by barnardos in 1927 to canada .on board the minisoda .they landed in peel onterio .lesley married elizerbeth harland .but dont know anything about frank .peter kathleen married name allan.i would like to know if the other 2 boys married and did any of them have children .thank you in advance for any help .the 4 children where born in hartlepool .

I think you have the answer already as to why the children were put in the workhouse

Their mother died and he probably had no one to look after them . It often happened unless the surviving parent could remarry quickly to someone who was willing to take on children
