The two Jesse Juliana's ,and George, must have been the children of the first marriage for Thomas Goodwin Beetson ( ie - to Jessy/ie), and then Jessie J C, Charles, and Jeremiah, all born in Madeira, were the children of his Madeira marriage (1819).

His Madeira wife maybe died out there, as she doesn't appear on UK censuses.

Another sibling of Jessie J C -

Maddie posted a 1793 baptism for Jesse Juliana.

But there's also this one - presumably this one died, and the 1793 one was named after her:

Interesting, Chris - the Jessy who died in 1847 might have been Thomas Goodwin's mother ??

She was 77 at death, so 25 years older than Thomas G.

OK - so the 1847 Jessy death is NOT the right one

I think Ian's Jessy probably died before 1841 - at least, I can't see her on any censuses.

Beetson, Esq. of Woodend House, near Croomhall, in this county, after an illness of five years extreme suffering, beloved and deeply regretted by a large family whom she has left lament her irreparable loss.
