Well if all else fails, I suppose that 1914 Birth Cert. would be a 'buy', does seem strange...

could that 21 on GRO actually be 21 months????


Remember the GRO Index is still trying to sort out how to distinguish between months and years for children ...... one has to guess whether 6 = 6 months or 6 years.

I THINK 21 months MIGHT have been put on the original Index used on Freebmd as 1 year?????

Just for ref as i was trying to find her in 1911 to see if Florence was with her. Elizabeth baptised same date as Florence ( DET I'm sure you noticed that the baptisms on same page were another Charlish family)

Looks as if its the close its going to be for a 1911 address. I'll certainly ponder about sending for the cert. Lets pay off the holiday first ;-)

Elizabeth Louisa Charlish Probate entry in 1942 does strongly indicate that sister Florence married Mr Hughes.
