I now know that a family member purchased a copy of her birth cert......confirming her DOB as........28th April 1888.

It's not going to help, but I think Emma's mother remarried in 1911, I did just wonder if Emma wanted to leave her past behind she might have changed her name at that point? ( grasping at straws now lol)

PricklyHolly I have not come up with anything for Emma, but going at it from a different angle I was looking at births after 1911 with mmn Miles in Shaftesbury ?? Very long shot that Emma went on to have other children?
