It drove me crazy yesterday trying to figure out the details of Wilhelmina Smith.

According to the 1911 census, she was born 1909 North Ormesby, Yorkshire.

According to the 1939 Register, she was born 6th June 1908.

First of all, there are no Wilhelmina Smith birth's registered in 1908 to fit those details.

There are also no births registered with MMN Hirst.

The registration district for North Ormesby, Yorkshire is Middlesbrough.........So this morning, i checked out births for a Wilhelmina registered in Middlesbrough 1908.

I found this one......

I checked her out on the GRO and bingo!!
