	I've just noticed that in your last post you say John William's mother was "a lady called Goodwin". So the birth suggested by Sylvia near the start of this thread is the correct one? Not that it helps find his father. If JW's parents were married, then his mother must have been married before, as there are no James Evans / Goodwin marriages within a reasonable time-frame (1870 - 87).
