Hello could any one of you kind people .help in my search .many thanks to you .in advance . my grand father william james breeze born 1894 in jarrow south sheilds .he died 1963 ...what i know of him .is that he was in the army .no 4 platoon 1st the south staffidshire reg .winners of the sissors cup maymo 1924 ...dont know when he joined .as a late relative gave me the name of reg ...he married 1929 .he had 4 living children .his wife d 25th dec 1938..i would like to know where he was in 1939 .please . thank you .

If that William is correct then there is only one other person living with him at the address. They are a closed record.

I can't see the children on the register- but if they are still living, or died after 1991 then they might all be closed records.

Hi ...i was told that the children had all been seperated .but didnt know how soon after there mother died .my late mother passed away in 1990 ...she had just turned 5 .when her mother died ...is there any where i can find out how long william was in army or when he joined ..thank you for your reply .

The other children may well be closed records in the households of family members. I would think it may be worth trying to locate William and Mary's siblings and / or their parents in 1939.

They're not with Mary's parents

William probably enlisted or was called up during WW1 but no records showing for him on FMP so perhaps his records are among the ones that haven't survived.

Not seeing a birth for Norah under Breeze. Was she born before they married?

Yes .austinq norah was in her mothers maiden name ..there was a daughter ivy .she died about 1930 aged i think 3 months and there mother also called mary .died not sure if she was in childbirth .as far as we know the baby died as well ..i have perchased her death cert it says cause of death .A1 PLECENTIA PRAEVIE.

I'm not seeing John or Annie on the 1939 register- so they are likely to be closed records

I wonder if John stayed with his Father and it was the girls who were separated so he would show as the closed record.
