I am trying to find the above Henry John Finch b c1819 in St. George in the East area of London.

Possible parents (I am totally unsure of this, but here goes...) Henry Finch, a Carpenter & Martha Mary Finch (Maiden name unknown).

This thread I am looking for birth/bapt and parent details of Henry John Finch, Not his children as stated in previous post.

Yes I know Marcus, but as you can see Andy has already duplicated the census for 1841 and 1851, it really is best to keep to one thread per family or at least to post the link so that helpers don't try and 'work back by working forward ' :-)

We tend to work forward like that sometimes, in the hope that a parent will show up on a later census with the family, eg a widow going to live with her son's family...

So, I now have the following 'Finch' siblings:-

Harriet Ann b1815, Henry John 1818, Sarah Elizabeth 1822, Elizabeth Hickman 1827, Susannah Overhead 1829, & Anna Maria 1831.

I have a feeling that there should (?) be a sibling somewhere between 1822 & 1827? The others a reasonably close together. Any guesses on this one??

Also, any clues as to take this line beyond Henry Finch (Senior) b 1786 & Martha Mary Hickman b 1792?

I can't spot any other births, but it's possible that they were either not baptised or that they were stillbirths which was sadly very common. or just not in the available records.
