Trying to find a tree for my husband to no avail so far, he is looking for his Grandmother Bertha Bowers Born 1915ish in the North of England, She married a John Burke in 1931

If you buy the marriage cert it will give you father's names, she was probably born a little earlier than 1915?

I am just reading through all information, she did die in Canterbury and was 77, I have had this confirmed.

Yes, I believe after talking to a Bethas son (John Burke aged 84) that all above is correct, he is trying to remember as much as he can to help with the search. Now I must try to learn how to find more, as I said I really don't know what I am doing but learning more each day.

I still can't see them on the 1939 register- although I have found them on the electoral register. (I've checked the same address in 1939 register- but I presume, due to the war they may have moved):
