Find Ancestors

Hi,
Looking for some help to trace some details for Eugene Ebenezer. He married Anne Minchall who was B.1869 in Ootacamund in India - Married her in 1896 - She died March 28 1913 aged 46 years (?b.1867 according to death certificate) in Podanur. India.
I found Eugene Ebenezer Chatelier on his sons marriage certificate. To date I cannot find any details on him.
I believe all Indias' records have been sent to the British Library.
Would appreciate some help if at all possible. He may have been born in India / UK etc.

If (little word with big meaning) if that is the Eugene I am looking for - the one who was born 1868 and a medical student.
Would it be possible that a UK medical certificate was not recognised in India? Having his occupation listed a Mechanical Engineer (not telegraph inspector - sorry I got that wrong) Or could the "Medical" student been transcribed incorrectly?
He would have been approx 45 when his wife passed away, leaving the youngest aged 12 years. Could he have re-married?

I found a death for Eugene Chatelier in 1842 died on the Tanjore to Bangalore road, India aged 30 years. He was a merchant. I assume this is the Eugene that was born in 1812 to John and Teresia Chatelier.

Time for some shut-eye 4am in Oz. nite

The baptism for Peter Morris Chateliar shows him to be the son of Eugene Chateliar, merchant of Tanjore and Susan his wife, so that ties in with the 1842 death you found for Eugene, Elaine.

Left a wife and two children. He married in 1835

I still cannot find a B.M.or D on Eugene Ebenezer.

Looks like Peter Morris/Maurice died 1890, as the birth year of 1838 is right, but I can't find a death for Eugene Ebenezer either.

Therasia is recorded as a widow, and Jean Francois's occupation is writer.

Also thought John could be Jean Francois Chatelier and not long found that. Thanks again Kucinta.

Eugene Ebenezer Chatelier sure is a mystery so far. But did find a John Eugene.

He was listed on his sons marriage certificate in 1925. (Son Melville Eric Chatelier) so I would say he died after 1925 which of course takes us out of the parish registers.
