The actual wording on the record is

Mary Ann, daughter of Robert and Mary Ann Wheeler, of Kettering in Northamptonshire, was born February the 7th and baptized 17th August by Ewart Roberts

so does that make John a minister of the church as John's will states a carpenter of HM ship Fortitude, daughter Mary Smith Renshaw and wife Hester are beneficeries

The ROBERT whose children were Wesleyan was a Church minister, and as I pointed out before there is nothing I can see to suggest that Mary had a second forename.

You have put Ann as part of your title, but not shown any records with Ann in her name.

Mary Smith may be ann smith but that is just conjecture
Whether she had children who knows as i cant find any whose father was a mariner
Where Robert came from or died i guess will never be known

this is where i got the middle name but could be / probably are different people as date is a year out - sorry
