You've jumped to wrong conclusions, I fear, and didn't give enough thought to the ages of the people concerned

Suggest you need the 1950 marriage cert for accurate info

No reason, as far as I can see, to think that Eunice had more than one forename

Rules out that marriage

If she was born in 1912, and John in December1913, is it likely that they married in 1926?

I find it odd that the 1939 doesn't indicate that she married again

Have you looked for a birth for Doris Eunice?

And a death for John Carter? Perhaps in WW2?
