Ann Sophia Green was born c1816 in the Barbican in London.Ann married Henry Soilleux in St Giles Gripplegate 23/12/1838..At the time of the marriage she was living in Tooll Street.Father was Joseph,a Musician.
Can anyone help me I need a birth record or any info of her or her family prior to her marriage in 1838.

According to 1851 and 1861 censuses, she was born in Shoreditch.
1871 says born St Luke, Middlesex.


The birth/baptism record posted by Malyon is the only one in London 1810-20 with father Joseph.
Maybe she lied about her age, so as not to be much older than Henry, who is stated in censuses to have been born 1817.

I don't see Joseph's death, unless he moved away from that area later in life.

The 1st one looks correct as Joseph Green a bead maker of 37,King street was on a document relating to Henry Jabez Green in 1837.

Hmm - but Joseph's not said to be deceased on the 1838 marriage cert, and he's a musician.

So Susanna & Joseph are probably not the right family.

Sophia's address at marriage is Well Street (not Tooll Street).

In 1841 there's a Joseph Green in Well Street - obviously not her father, but maybe a brother or other relation ???
