Peter, you would probably have been better on the Find Living Relatives thread, rather than Ancestors, but never mind.

It's unlikely that anyone connected will just happen by this thread, but you can actively look to see if any other member has them named in their tree.

EricaH suggested earlier in the thread that at least 2 other members have John Grundy 1863 in their trees. Find them via the Search facility top right of this page and try sending them a message explaining how you think you're related. Then hope they can receive the message and are able/willing to reply.
