Hello Christina and Erin, thank you so much. Yes the above is correct. John first married Eleanor Appleby 1915 who then died 1919 and then married Agnes Kirby 1924. I never gave it a thought that she had been married before. I really must start thinking laterally because this has happened to me before when spouses have been married previously. John had Harold to his first wife and John 1936 to Agnes but she gave her maiden name as Kirby not Dolan.

Maybe the two girls were with grandparents.

It may be that if they didn't die before the early 1990s, they are closed records. I did try looking at other Feeney families in the area, but there are a few of them, and they either had no closed records, or extra children, so nothing obviously matched.

How strange, Elizabeth also known as Betty marries 1952 and Marie 1955 both Hartlepool. Thank you for trying.

Not finding them in 1939. There is an Elizabeth Feeney of the right age in Manchester, but she is accounted for by a birth in 1925 in Manchester.
