I was wondering if anyone could read what Dorothy Harrison was doing for a living in 1841?

On the 1841 census Dorothy Harrison is living with my 4x great grandfather William Greenlaw (1815) and 25 years old, his wife Agnes who is also apparently 25 years old(I know different) and their children Alexander (1837) and Jane (1840) in Whitehaven, Cumberland/Cumbria.

Can anyone read the original record and tell me what Jane doing for a living?

Thank you for replying. The original gives William’s job as publican and it also appears to show that Dorothy works but I’m struggling to read the original image for her.

Thank you Rambling for deciphering what Dorothy did. I haven’t looked into Janes death but Jane isn’t with the family in 1851 so I suspected she must have died. I’m descended from William and Agnes’s youngest daughter Ellanor/Eleanor Wasdale Greenlaw. Wasdale is Agnes’s maiden name. Thank you Malyon that is Agnes with son Alexander in 1871.

Thank you Gwyn. The only death I can find for William is in 1854 and I’ve ordered the certificate to confirm if I have the right death.

The surname is sometimes mistranscribed as Greenlow

Thank you for the 1851 census and death Maddie. William was William Quiggin Greenlaw. Quiggin was his mother’s maiden name. Thank you also for confirming Janes death.

William and Agnes married in 1837 and I believe it is Agnes second marriage. I believe that her youngest daughter Eleanor is working as a servant for her half brother in 1861. I’m waiting on the certificates to confirm this.
