Find Ancestors

I have found Willis in the 1911 census age 36 born Mansfield, wife Lily 26 born Mansfield, Willie age 1 born Warsop and George William age 0 born Warsop. What I am searching for is a marriage, I have tried a few different spellings but just can't find one on freeBMD or familysearch.org. Help would be appreciated. Thank you Teresa

He married Lily Smedley 4th Quarter in Mansfield district. 1933

But they are in the 1911 census with 2 small children?? :-(

Find the details of the births for the children and then check the mothers maiden name on the GRO. If it is Smedley then you will know that they married much later. It Does happen.

Just had a look, can't find any that fit the date, the only 2 I have are those posted in the census. Will have to leave it at that for now. Thank-you.

It looks as though Lily was a Grosvenor before marrying Joseph Smedley in 1904.

The Osborne/ Smedley marriage can be found on freebmd by putting in Osb* rather than the full surname. It is also on Ancestry.
