Why not just get the child’s birth cert?
Although, in this instance it probably wouldn’t add much to your knowledge, as the DoB on 1939 register tallies with that on the 1899 baptism.

As for not using Ancestry - well, use the site, but make your own judgement about the relevance of any info you find. The ‘hints’ the site gives are not arrived at by anything other than computer ‘matches’

There is a tree on there which agrees with the findings by the helpers on here.

I spent hours and hours some time ago backtracking Lisa's family directly with her and sent all the paperwork to her. Usual advice to check info herself, all sources identified and buy certificates where necessary.

She has all the information found this morning, but her online tree is rather confused.

Alice Wallworth married Robert Disley, they had 3 children, there's then one who I didn't find a baptism for so ? Father, 2 who were baptised with Edward Waddington named as Father and finally George William and James, no Father. (Banns called for Alice and Edward 1883, Alice finally married Edward Waddington in 1906, but somewhere along the lines he was a bigamist/Fathering children not with his wife).
