Have submitted correction of surname to FMP

I'm not sure about the butcher going to New York in 1950 .

But this is almost certainly Alfred in 1939:

Alfred E Beall [ BEALE on image ]
in the 1939 England and Wales Register
Name Alfred E Beall
Gender Male
Marital Status Married
Birth Date 23 Jun 1902
Residence Date 1939
Address 54 Bavington Drive
Residence Place Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England
Occupation Restaurant Waiter
Line Number 3
Schedule Number 432
Sub Schedule Number 1
Enumeration District Gadj
Borough Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
Registration district 558-1
Civil Defense Role Air raid precautions
Inferred Spouse
Margaret Beall
Household Members (Name) Gender Birth Year
Alfred E Beall Male 1902
Margaret Beall Female 1902

and one closed record - possibly a daughter born 1928 in Tynemouth.

They probably had a son, Alfred George Beale, born (and died) in1925 in Newcastle.

The 1928 child (who may or may not be theirs) may have married a Hargreaves in 1952.

EDIT:
But this is the death of that man - so maybe not, unless the middle name is wrong ??

Irrelevant to the OP's query about Bessie Beale - but just following George Huttel's wife -

As already posted, Elizabeth C D Huttel was discharged from Southwark workhouse in 1904.

She was there again in 1905, listed as Eliza Huttel.
The "observations at admission" column says:
Police. "Mental"

Newspaper article on FMP dated 25/11/1899
Streatham News

Elizabeth Huttell, wife of a Baker, living away from her, was summonsed by the NSPCC for wilfully neglecting two children, etc etc

She was at 25, Thicket Wood Chambers

Her husband had at some stage allowed her £1.00 per week, but reduced it to 15shillings

May be totally unconnected, of course

There are, however, two likely births in W Ham on freebmd, as the neglected children were 8 and 5 at the time of the court case

defendant sentenced to 3 months with hard labour

There is an article in The Bath Chronicle, 26 Feb 1916 titled AN ENEMY ALIEN.

Basically George 54, a baker of 13 Alexander Rd was in front of the Magistrates charged with being an enemy alien and failing to report himself when he moved districts.

He had moved to Bath from Margate about 16 months previously and thought that registering in Margate was sufficient. He had come to England in 1879 and had an English wife and 4 children.

He was fined £5 or a month's imprisonment and the bench hoped that the publicity surrounding this trial would send a 'very definite warning' to any other aliens in the district to comply with registration.

He described himself as being 'half Scotch and half German.'
