Mary thank you for replying to my message for help about convicts dying on the voyage and their relatives being informed. My relative was William Peat and I found him in the indexes saying he died on the voyage and I was just curious as to whether the captain did let the relatives know. Sadley my rellie died 3 days before the ship arrived in Tasmania. Kind regards Wendy

Hi Mary Please could you have a look to see if there are any Tippings listed app 1841 William Manchester 1857 - 61 William Edward and Adelaide Yorkshire Both these couples vanish l wondered if they were transported Thanks in advance Pam Having to go offline for the evening. l will check back tomorrow

Hi Mike Not sure about this one: John Daniels convicted at Central Criminal Court 27 Feb 1860 sentenced 6years penal servitude,transported on ship Norwood to Western Australia 13 March 1862. Only one in the time frame. Regards Mary

Hello Mary can you see if there's any sign of John Daniels he was on 1861 census so he would have been sent away from 1861 onwards. Regards Mike

Hi Irene Good to hear from you again,I am very well and hope the same goes for you.This looks as if this might be the notorious chappie George Mason convicted 28 Feb 1848 at Central Criminal Court sentenced 10 years,transported on ship William Jardine 9 Aug 1850 to Van Diemans Land(Tasmania). Hi Kay Found a couple for James Barlow as follows: 1 Convicted 26 Apr 1830 at Lancaster Quarter Sessions sentenced 14 years,transported 1 July 1830 on ship Royal Admiral to NSW 2 Convicted 8 July 1833 Northampton Assizes sentenced Life,transported on ship Fairlie 14 Oct 1833 to NSW As he was born Manchester suspect 1 is your chap.
