have added them in, doesnt say place of birth, just not born in Lancashire...which is right taken a second look at 1851 i think is says JOINERS WIFE not farmers wife |

interestingly in 1851 the lady next door is marked as head, but married and is a joiners wife......perhaps the men were on shift at the foundry when the enumerator came around so they wernt included |

The BVRI has a christening of John Tipping, 13 Aug.1815, Stockport, Cheshire. Parents Richard & Mary. It's the only one that's close. Any chance it might be him? Margaret |

I think on the 51 census Maria is a joiner's wife. Would that be similar to boiler maker? Margaret |

Hi Webster and Margaret Sorry l was called away Joiner and Boilermaker don't match but its possible he found work as a Joiner for a while before going back to being a Boilermaker l'll have a look on the i.g.i and see if l can find anything there Thanks again Pam |
