the only thing is that no-one in our family remembers any southern links, i come from a very yorkshire family my grandad (charles sidneys son) who has now passed used to talk about his days as a child and it was all in yorkshire - like taking walks in the yorshire dales ect. Another place name i have found is Marr - (in with the scribblings i do) not even sure where that is ?

Just an idea here, but, going back to that marriage cert - could the witness Charles Waddington possibly be Cornelius Waddingham? Hi again Mary-lou Have just checked the images on Ancestry. There is a birth reg 09/1881, Saffron Walden, vol 4a, page 512, for Sidney Charles Pearman (not yet transcribed). This fits with what we found last night. Best of luck. Angela

Not had my computer on for a while! Flaming Virgin Media! anyway, going back from earlier messages, the other witness on the marriage cert. definaltely says charles waddingham. I was talking to my mother about this and she said there may have been a possiblitly that i could have german links to that side of the family, but thats only a family rumour, if that is the case then where would i search german records, i am quite new to searching tree info, i have only just grasped the uk census and BMD's i may just leave that side of the family until i have a bit more experience, especially now i know that i have done the pearman side of the tree completly wrong! that to all those that have been helping!
