Thankyou for those, I just had a few moments and decided to check Genes. Sorry but the James Mann you had is completely wrong, the names are entirely different, there was another James and Elizabeth at the same time so it makes it difficult. Another lady picked upon the thread and said she could't find James and Elizabeth on any 1901 Census but came up with two deaths which looked about right, she said she had come across all of the girls and I am going to ask her to print them out for me. Thanks for trying on that though. Do you think you could check out something else for me please. Still will James Mann the 1851 Census, I am trying to find out whether he was at sea in 1851 as I have Sarah his wife and Son James lodging with Mary and Thomas Tapsell. I was wondering if it would say anything about him, I wanted to make sure I had the right Sarah. There are so many with the same names it makes it difficult doesn't it. A couple of things more I would like to know. 1861 Census for Elizabeth Ann Chipps B1844/5 Portsea, Portsmouth Hampshire. Parents are Charlotte and Jacob Chipps. On 1851 Census Elizabeth was 6 years old. Also 1901 Census for Elizabeth Mann b Portsmouth and husband James. Once I know this I will definetly be able to wrap this one up. thanks Julia
