You could look at his mothers death. you never know. He might be on the death cert, address etc. also his name! Marion update ..Have you looked for him in the 1881 Census? i am sure someone will help you look for him.

Hi Not going to be easy to find him with all these names. It might coat you a few credits on SP,but you could just search deaths under the three names. Starting with Thomson, I think that was the last name he went under? With a bit of luck it will have one of the other names on the search before you use the 5 credits. Or if you are in the area, you could go to the registry office, where they will search for £10 per hour. I have been messing about on SP but nothing so far. Marion

Oh well forget that idea. I just checked for George Thomson in Angus, age between 48-90yr between 1868-1899. Nothing jumped out with one of the other names. Hi I have just realised, he might have been in his mid forties, probably born c 1828??. The 1841 census ages were rounded up,so maybe that's why he is down as 20. He might even be down as George ThomPson. Must dash just popped in to see how you were getting on. Marion
