When was she married? Was Kate her full name or was it Katherine/Kathleen etc. Could we find her on the census with some of the children? What was her husband's first name? Sorry for all the questions. Kath. x |

You find her marriage, then look through the birth indices for the years which follow. What was her husband's first name? Reg |

My grandmother Kate (maybe Kathleen) Gadd formerly Fruin - DOB about 1865 -Ealing - London - had about 13 children mostly all girls how do I find their names. She married a James Gadd Thank you for your help -my father was the youngest child in the family he was born 1909 - I had one message saying it looks like my grandmother married twice - maybe that surname being Harris My father James Gadd went into an Orphanage - boys only in the area in 1918 when his mother Kate Gadd was struck down by the flu -I think she died then (the orphanage was with the Salvation Army -which I have never been able to find any record of this) when he married later in life he was unable to find his sisters because they were all girls possibly married with a changed name -I have written to the home addresses I have but no luck their. I am happy to buy cert., for his sisters when I am sure they are possible the right ones. |
