A bit of local knowledge, Barton Hill, St. George, Lawrence Hill and St. Phillips are all East Bristol and very close together. They are all within a couple of miles of Broadmead shopping centre. They were the working class districts. Anne in East Bristol

Hi Jeanette, Thanks for all the Info, definately looks like the right George but will go more into Robert's details. Lawrence Hill looks good as George had house there, its a district of Bristol and Nibletts Hill is in next district. Thanks, Lynne

Ditto............ wondering if Ancestry have mistranscribed them and put them under a name that couldn't be more remote from the usual spelling?

Shocking writing isn't it Debi! lol 1881.....Now there's nothing obvious jumping out here Lynne, so this is where it would really pay off to get the wedding cert. That would give George's father's name and help to go further back

Well I don't know what Debi makes of the address on the 1901, but it looks like Nibletts Hill to me! George gives his occupation as Blacksmith by the way

I agree with Jeanette - never assume that this is the right couple - always get the certs were ever possible as this is far more accurate George is a BLACKSMITH......the address looks like it's NIBLETTS HILL???? Defiantely HILL for the latter part

Hi Lynne Well this one certainly seems to fit with what you know then. Of course it is always best to make sure for definite either with certs or by looking at the Parish Registers Jeanette x
