Hello, I have a Barbara Ann Robson married a Edward Jackson 1882 JAS qtr Sunderland. Can any one find out to see if another surname comes up for Barbaras marriage please. Thanks Karen

I had a definate Barbara Ann Gibson married to William Robson in 1872 Sunderland, there is no trace of them on the census.I assume that one died or remarried. I found a William Robson died age 28 Sunderland in 1880. I have searched for Barbara Ann Since 1879 to 1900 no death. I am guessing she married again. She and William had a son William born 1879, Sunderland. He is on 1901 census with Hannah, but no trace of them. There is a Barbara Ann Robson married Edward Jackson, 1882 Sunderland. A friend has found census image Barbara seems right, born Sunderland, Southwick and there is a William Jackson on the census age 12, they never married until 1882 and this was the 1891 census. Hi Julie Okay, Thank you I have checked BMD for William Jackson born Sunderland 1879, there are none, I think this is William Robson, with Edwards Surname. But when he marries he is William Robson in 1900. Karen

Hi Julie, I know, harder to prove this may be right as well. In 1871 her mother was a Mary Gibson, no sign of father.

Ive just seen the 1901 for Barbara and Edward and it says Edward was from Scotland so do you think they might be in Scotland on the 1881

Hi Julie his father Is William Robson Deceased , he was a glass maker, william (son) was living Collin place Southwick when he married.
